Bin collection in Scotland
Scotland does not publish one national bin calendar. mygov.scot tells you to open your own council’s page for collection days, missed bins, and which colour bin takes which material.
Bin Stickers UK is an independent sticker supplier. We are not a council or government waste service. Confirm collection days, missed bins and replacement bins on your council's official website.
What the official pages say
mygov.scot’s bin-days page says to check your local council website for bin collection days, and it links each Scottish council.
On “what goes in your bins”, mygov.scot says each council may use different coloured bins for the same type of rubbish. Do not assume a colour from another council.
A missed bin is reported on the council website. Garden-waste permits, replacement bins and assisted collections are also council services, listed on the mygov.scot rubbish and recycling page.
Official sources
These pages are the reference for the notes above. Collection day, public-holiday changes and accepted items should be read there, or on your council’s own waste page.
Other nations
A sticker does not change the collection week. If you are labelling the bin, see where to put the sticker and how collection days work.
